CHAPADA DIAMANTINA:
It is in this hilly region, 90% of headwaters of the rivers Paraguaçu, Jacuípe and count river are sourced. Here can be found hundreds of crystal clear streams which are born in the hills and descend in waterfalls, forming natural swimming pools, to the plains below. The beauty of the waters are complemented by luxurious vegetation which mixes different species of cactuses with rare examples of mountain plants especially bromélias, orchards, and always alive.
Lençóis(City of Sheets) is the gate way to Chapada Diamantina.

Smoke
Falls(Cachoeira da Funaça):
One of the most impressive waterfalls
of Brazil, with barely free 400m of fall. The wind
spreads the water and even carries it upwards, forming a curtain of droplets
- thus the name "smoke".To see
the Smoke by top, the path is of 7km from the city of Capão.
Quietude Falls (Cachoeira do Sossego):
Complying with the name, the Waterfall of the Calm is a place of immense peace. The path of 7km, starting from Sheets, passes
for the Ribeirão river and by a big canyon.
When it rains is not possible arrive there.
Serrano:
Complex formed by Sheets river and its swimming pools and natural cauldrons.
Going up the river finds itself the Well Halley. Well near, are the Hall of Sands(Salão
de Areias), the
little Waterfall(Cachoerinha) and the Springtime Falls(cachoeira
da primavera).
The Middle
of Ribeirão(Ribeirão do Meio):
Is a natural slide rock. It stayed to 4km of Sheets.
Lapão
Grotto(Gruta do Lapão):
The Biggest quartz stone cave of Brazil.
It stayed to 4,5km of Sheets by path. The visual in the exit of the
other side is very pretty.
Sweet
Lapa Grotto(Gruta da Lapa Doce):
It is about 28km of stretch already mapped full of estalactites and
estalagmites, with curiously formations.
Formerly the cavern was passage of a river, by that the name Lapa Sweet. It stayed to 70km of Sheets, in the region
of Iraquara.
Blue Grotto(Gruta
Azul):
Well near to the Cavern from the little Silver is to small cavern with
blue waters, where is not permitted take bath.
The little
Silver Grotto(Gruta da Pratinha):
Place to dive. The cavern is invaded by the Lake
little Silver, shallow and of blue and crystalline waters, where plants
grow and they live endless number shoals.

the cave of Torrinha:
In Iraquara, It has the
7th longest gallery in Brazil and the country's 1st in rare speleograms. The more special in the cave
are the aragonite crystals, which are like needles and appear in diverse forms. Other caves as
the Impossible and the Hole
of the Dog are located in the region.
Father Inácio's Hill(Morro do
Pai Inácio):
Postal Card from the Chapada Diamantina.Its top has 1.240m of altitude, offering
a sensational sight from the region. It is possible go by car by the BR-242 (30km)
or by path of 6h from Sheets.
Enchanted Pool (poço encantado):
The pool of crystal clear blue waters, formed on limestone. One of the
prettiest creations from the nature and one of the
most visited places in Chapada. The Pool
is around 100m long and 50m wide, and with a maximum depth
of 61m. Between April and the beginning of September, sunrays
reach the surface of the pool, which must give it an even more magic atmosphere.

Blue Pool(Poço
Azul):
Well to the enchanted pool, however less exuberant and smaller. Unlike enchanted pool, swimming
is allowed in the crystalline
waters.It stays 110km of Sheets.
Devil
pool(Poço do Diabo):
Good to take bath and enjoy the visual of the canyon and the waterfall. It stayed in little Mucuge river,about 20km of Sheets.
Xique
Xique of Igatú :
Is a village who sprang up during the diamond era and remain with about 400
inhabitants,. The interesting saints the ruins of home built of stones. It stays 114km of Sheets.
Mucugê:
Was another city that sprang up during the diamond era.It is very pretty city
with its antique houses partially preserved and a flowered square. Mucugê
have 984m of altitude.
